Next Big Thing: Gabriela Ceballos Designs

Next Big Thing: Gabriela Ceballos Designs

Among the hand-woven baskets, reclaimed crystals, and art prints of vintage New Yorker covers at a New York street fair, one table was a particular standout. Serendipitously tucked between booths that were too expensive in price and too cheap in aesthetic was Gabriela Ceballos Designs. A mother-daughter team are the creative minds (and hands) between the jewelry and accessories line that contains earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces, and small leather accessories.

I purchased a silver bracelet with an evil eye set in clear and blue stones, though it was difficult to choose what to get. The designer – at least on that day – generously offered the option to mix and match pieces, $18 for 1 or $30 for 2. Her designs are simple but not simplistic, and look luxurious at an affordable price tag.

Gabriela Ceballos Design is our next "Next Big Thing" so keep a non-evil eye out for her jewelry at street fairs and markets around New York and on her website.
